We’re smack in the middle of the final recruiting dead period before National Signing Day. It also happens to be Christmas Eve.

That hasn’t stopped a rush of recruiting news, including a big-time top schools list by one of the nation’s most coveted linebackers.

Four-star Breon Dixon, ranked No. 12 in the nation at his position according to the 247Sports composite rankings, released his top seven schools on Thursday afternoon:

The 6-foot, 216-pound linebacker is a native of Suwanee, Ga. New head coach Kirby Smart previously recruited Dixon to Alabama, and now will try to make him a cornerstone piece of his first Georgia class.

But there are plenty of other programs vying for his services, including Florida and Tennessee.
