Bret Bielema shares his thoughts after Arkansas downed Kansas State 45-23 in the Liberty Bowl.
On winning the third-straight bowl game for first time in program history: “It means a lot. I know our guys have fought all year to get to where we are. (We) went through some adversity, the guys responded the right way. I’ve got a great group of kids, who do it right on and off the field and make you really proud.”
On RB Alex Collins: “He runs hard and protects the football. He’s really patient with the offensive linemen in front of him. I think he’s a very talented player, he has a very difficult decision. The good news is we have a lot of good players coming back next year, regardless.”
On QB Brandon Allen: “BA is a special kid. (I) loved the way he played down the stretch. He’s got a very good chance at the NFL. I couldn’t be more proud of him. Our seniors they’ve been throw a lot, they didn’t drop through the recruiting process; they stuck with the coaching change and transition and weathered the storm.”
