Brian Kelly had a final report after fall camp this week, and it appears the LSU Tigers are in fighting shape and ready to take on the season.
Coach Kelly noted that some of the biggest strides in the team have been at offensive line, where the group has really “come together.” The wide receiver room has also showed promise during August, and it’s not gone unnoticed. More good news for LSU fans is that Kelly said he thinks the wide receivers can “still make plays for us,” as he called the players out as a group that has meet high expectations.
It doesn’t appear as though the Tigers have much to worry about on the other side of the ball either, at least according to Kelly.
The head coach noted the “really good” rotation on the back end of the defense, as well as a strong defensive line. That strong defense adds freshman Jaelyn Davis, and Harold Perkins, who are expected to make an immediate impact for LSU.
