Brian Kelly’s LSU Tigers don’t look like the football team they were expected to be to this point in the season, continuing to show struggles on the road against South Carolina on Saturday.
The Tigers have suffered from several of their own self-inflicted wounds and not capitalizing when they got into scoring position, but have shown the fight to rally. LSU currently trails South Carolina, 24-16 with 2 quarters of football left to play in Columbia.
Kelly commented at the half on what he’s seem from his team and where they must get better to have chance at coming out of Week 3 with a victory.
“We settled in on offense. Look, they knew they were in for a fight,” Kelly said. “South Carolina is salty on defense. We didn’t fit the run well on that QB run, but the guys are fighting. It’s a one-score game and we get the ball to start the 2nd half.”

It will be interesting to watch what kind of adjustments LSU makes throughout the remainder of the game, and just how effective they are against a South Carolina team that has looked completely underrated with an undefeated start to the season.
