Former Alabama running back Brian Robinson Jr. was placed on the non-football injury list by the Washington Commanders on Thursday after he was shot two times on Sunday in an attempted robbery. He was released from the hospital Monday.
There is currently no exact timetable on his return, though he can do so if he is healthy enough to get back to the field after four games. The first game he will be eligible for is the Week 5 contest against the Tennessee Titans on Oct. 9.
Robinson is listed on the team’s 53-man roster, though the long-term outlook still remains to be seen as he meets with doctors.
The Commanders are set to open the season at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 11.
