Bryan Harsin met with reporters on Monday, and shared that TJ Finley is expected to return to practice last week after he missed time last week with a shoulder injury.
“He’ll practice this week … We’ll see how the week goes,” Harsin said, per AU Gold Mine.
Finley this week is listed as the co-backup with Holden Geriner behind Robby Ashford for the LSU game.
About second-half adjustments, Harsin noted it comes in multiple areas after the Tigers had just 217 total yards, including just 82 rushing against Missouri.
“We have to be better… We have to make some better adjustments. There are opportunities we’ve left on the field. It’s not just one thing in particular.”
Overall, Auburn must improve in situations like third down and red zone, he said.
One key personnel move this week will be at center after Harsin announced that starting center Tate Johnson will be out 6-8 weeks because of elbow surgery.
Auburn HC Bryan Harsin asked to assess his offense so far: “There’s plenty to improve on. No. 1, it’s the situational stuff. … We’ve got to be better on third downs. Red zone has been decent, but we’ve got to be a lot better on third downs.”
