Bryce Young didn’t take long to make an impact in his first game as Alabama’s starting quarterback.

On his first drive, he marched the Tide down the field, capping off the impressive start with a 37-yard touchdown pass to John Metchie III.

As you can see below, Young stepped up in the pocket and delivered a strike to Metchie while on the run:

Metchie did the rest, diving into the end zone for the season’s first touchdown.

How many more times will those 2 Alabama stars connect this season? They look plenty comfortable with each other already.

Young went 4-for-5 for 67 yards and the touchdown on that opening drive. The Tide lead 7-0 and already have the ball back.
