Bud Light unveils college football-themed ad campaign featuring comedian Shane Gillis

Bud Light is joining the host of college football fans gearing up for the season ahead! The popular beer brand recently unveiled a new ad campaign with popular comedian Shane Gillis in a football-themed skit.
Donning a jacket embroidered with “Coach Herb,” Gillis plays the role of a football coach joining a professor and school president in attempting to get the truth of an incident out of a football player. Instead of getting the truth out of the player, Gillis and others begin confessing their own truths in order to get a Bud Light.
“Alright, I’ll go first to get the wheels greased a little. I confess that I practice my halftime speeches in the shower before games,” Gillis’ character confesses.
The interrogation of the football player — named “Bobby” — ultimately falls apart before dismissing the player to return to football practice.
Fans are bound to get a kick out of this one, and it will be interesting to see what else Bud Light comes up with over the course of the college football and NFL seasons. Take a look:

This is likely the first of many Bud Light commercials we’ll see with Shane through the rest of football season.
