Mississippi State will once again be short-handed due to suspensions this week as the school has announced four players won’t play Saturday against LSU due to violation of team rules.

Leading up to kickoff, the Bulldogs announced junior linebacker Willie Gay, sophomore receiver Devonta Jason, sophomore safety Marcus Murphy and freshman offensive lineman Kwatrivous Johnson are all out due to suspension.

In addition to those losses, senior cornerback Maurice Smitherman is out due to injury. Smitherman is a starter for Bob Shoops’ defense.

LSU is an 18-point favorite heading into Saturday’s game in Starkville.
