Tennessee’s offensive line living up to the hype with Cade Mays in the lineup for the first time

Tennessee’s offensive line is exactly who we thought they were.
Following the SEC’s decision to allow intra-conference transfers this week, Cade Mays was eligible to play for the first time as a member of the Volunteers.
With Mays in the lineup, Tennessee now has four offensive linemen that rated as five-star prospects by at least one recruiting service with left tackle Wanya Morris, left guard Trey Smith, right guard Mays and right tackle Darnell Wright all coming into the program rated as elite high school prospects.
The team’s starting center, Brandon Kennedy, is a sixth-year player and a former four-star recruit currently playing the best football of his career.

Needless to say, the unit is living up to the hype early against Missouri.
Tennessee has 149 rushing yards in the first half, including 3 of 3 on fourth down attempts. The Vols are averaging 5.7 yards per rush and have given up just one sack.
The team’s blocking has been so good, on two touchdowns, both by Eric Gray, the running back was barely touched on either score.
