Cam Coleman is having a tremendous day for Auburn, with the Tigers needing a win against UL Monroe to keep their bowl hopes alive.
Coleman pulled in a sparkling 1-handed catch with just over 4-and-a-half minutes left in the third quarter, pushing the Tigers’ lead to 31-7 following the extra point. It was his third touchdown catch of the day.

Earlier in the game, the true freshman found himself on the other end of a 20-yard touchdown pass from Payton Thorne as Auburn opened the scoring with a shade over 4 minutes played in the first quarter. Then, in the second quarter, the Thorne-Coleman connection cashed in on a short 3-yarder as the Tigers increased their lead to 17-0.
Coleman, a former 5-star player from Phenix City, Alabama, was the crown jewel of the 2024 recruiting class for Hugh Freeze and the Tigers. Up until Saturday, he had 292 yards and just 2 touchdown catches for the season. He’s matched that, and more, against the Warhawks.
Coleman also broke the 100-yard plateau for the first time in his career — his previous high in receiving yards was 82 in a loss to Oklahoma on Sept. 28.
The Tigers look to be cruising in this one thanks in part to Coleman. They’re set to improve to 4-6 on the season.
