Former Auburn QB Cam Newton and his longtime girlfriend welcomed their first child, a boy, into the world Wednesday evening.

According to Newton, he and his girlfriend kept the pregnancy under wraps in order to prevent a distraction on the field.
It seems to have worked, because Newton has been leading his team to a stellar season, losing their first game to Atlanta just a few days ago.
