Cam Rising receives injury update ahead of top 25 tilt against Oklahoma State

Cam Rising crashed into a line of water coolers 2 weeks ago and suffered an injury on his throwing hand, causing him to miss last week’s game against Utah State.
The Utes were able to pick up the win regardless with backup Isaac Wilson in the game, but the competition gets tougher in Week 4. The Utes travel to face No, 14 Oklahoma State Saturday, one of the best teams in the Big 12 opposite Utah.
And Rising’s status is no clearer than it was midweek. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported early Saturday that Rising is expected to “attempt to play” against Oklahoma State, but he’s still considered a game-time decision for what will be a crucial matchup in the conference.
Sources: Utah QB Cam Rising is a game-time call vs. Oklahoma State. There’s an expectation he’ll attempt to play, but he’s not expected to be 100-percent with an injury on his throwing hand. https://t.co/gpTL7IDh1u

Folks, this is the Cam Rising experience.
Rising has run into his fair share of injury issues. Perhaps a fair share for any 2 players. The Utah star missed most of last season with an ACL tear suffered in the 2023 (2022 season) Rose Bowl. When he is in the game, Rising is a fantastic player. He threw for over 3,000 yards in 2023 with 26 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, leading the Utes to a 10-4 record.
We’ll see if he’s ready for action at 4 p.m. ET from Stillwater, Oklahoma.
