The Carolina Panthers’ backfield will have a uniquely Auburn feel to it on Sunday.
Cameron Artis-Payne, a running back with the Tigers from 2013-14, will make his first career start in the NFL after Jonathan Stewart injured his hamstring last weekend, according to the Associated Press’ Steve Reed.
Ron Rivera said Cameron Artis-Payne will start for Panthers on Sunday.

In his second season, Artis-Payne gained 183 yards and a touchdown as a rookie. He will join another Auburn star, quarterback Cam Newton, in Carolina’s backfield on Sunday.

As a senior, Artis-Payne ran for 1,608 yards and 13 touchdowns while helping Auburn to an 8-5 record.
