Carolina Panthers reveal new jersey number for former LSU DB Donte Jackson

Former LSU DB Donte Jackson wore jersey No. 1 during his time in Baton Rouge, but that’s not going to happen with the Carolina Panthers.
That’s because star QB Cam Newton — the former Auburn star — is currently sporting the No. 1 jersey for the Panthers.
Therefore, the second-round pick will instead wear a higher number, as it was revealed on Saturday that he’d be in the No. 26 jersey this fall:

Jackson’s speed is elite, but he’ll need to improve in other areas to become a star at the NFL level.
However, he was given a first-round grade by many teams, so the Panthers got a great value by taking him in the second round.
