Carson Beck has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Beck made the announcement on Saturday morning in a lengthy Instagram post. He will forego his remaining eligibility, instead deciding to turn pro immediately.

“The past five years at the University of Georgia have been nothing short of a dream come true and I will forever cherish the memories that have been made,” Beck wrote in-part. “Thank you Dawg Nation for the time i’ve been here and to those who’ve supported and believed in me, thank you. It’s been an incredible journey and all these moments have ultimately led me to take the next step in my football career. With that being said, I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”

Here’s his announcement:

Beck initially joined Georgia as a 4-star prospect in the class of 2020. He stayed with the Bulldogs as a reserve QB for 3 years before taking over as the starter in 2023. Because the blanket waiver given to all players in 2020, Beck had 1 more season of eligibility.

Beck’s announcement to leave for the NFL comes just a few days before Georgia will take on Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff. Beck has already been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing elbow surgery earlier this month to repair an injury he suffered in the SEC Championship Game against Texas.

He departs Georgia with an overall record of 24-3 over the past 2 seasons. Carson Beck is expected to be amongst the first QBs taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.

His Bulldogs will take on Notre Dame at 8:45 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
