CBS analyst Aaron Taylor shares why he’s picking Ole Miss to upset Alabama

Alabama is the No. 1 team in the country. It hasn’t lost a game since its 2019 regular-season finale. And it is always among the top programs in college football on an annual basis.
So, can Ole Miss actually pull off an upset by knocking off the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa on Saturday?
CBS Sports analyst Aaron Taylor believes so, and he broke down exactly why earlier this week.
“Fellas, we started this show off talking about the parity party and we talked about chaos, and that’s why Alabama’s going down in this game,” Taylor said during an appearance on CBS Sports Network. “Ole Miss is going to pull this off, for all the things Rick [Neuheisel] said for the last minute-and-a-half — the defense is better, Alabama’s not able to run the ball as well as they did last year.
“I think it comes down to as simple as this: Ole Miss is a better version of themselves this year than they were last, and Alabama’s not. And I think that’s the difference. Ole Miss wins.”
BIG UPSET ALERT ❗❗

Ole Miss has lost to Alabama each of the past 5 years. But the Rebels showed last season that they have the offense to keep up with the Crimson Tide, as they took a 63-48 loss.
It’s likely to be another offensive shootout this year. And maybe Taylor will be right and Ole Miss will find a way to knock off the top team in the country.
Ole Miss and Alabama are set to kick off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
