The big showdown in college football this weekend takes place in Baton Rouge as No. 9 Auburn visits No. 2 LSU in a matchup with both SEC and national title implications.

With Joe Burrow and the LSU offense rolling, putting up 539.9 yards and 50.1 points per game, Auburn will need its fearsome defense to contain the Bayou Bengals while the Auburn, led by freshman Bo Nix, has to step up in order for Gus Malzahn’s team to win for the first time in Tiger Stadium since 1999.

The analysts at CBS Sports Network don’t see that happening.

The consensus opinion is that Ed Orgeron and his Tigers, currently 10.5 point favorites, will be too much for the visiting Tigers to handle. Strange things bound to happen in this rivalry, though, as we have seen in the past including the Earthquake Game, the Interception Game and the Game Where The Barn Burned.
