Despite a live announcement on national television, CeCe Jefferson still has not yet sent in his signed Letter of Intent to the University of Florida.
Tonight, CeCe Jefferson’s father, who has been quite active on social media during the recruiting process made a statement via Twitter:
Yes we are holding out. Florida making to many coaching changes this is not a game it's my son life
— Leo Jefferson (@frog2567) February 5, 2015
It was announced today that Florida lost its newly hired defensive line coach Terrell Williams. Florida is replacing Williams with former Alabama assistant and current Texas defensive line coach Chris Rumph.
CeCe Jefferson chimed in on Twitter this evening as well:
Im a Gator my dude! Forget all these rumors that I was paid,my parents disagreed w my decision, all of that..My last tweet is whyi held out

I haven't sent in my LOI because someone told me a few days before NSD that williams was leaving, why send it in without being sure ?

Clearly the coaching change has made an impact on Jefferson, and for now, the possibility that he will not end up in Gainesville, Fla. remains.
For Florida fans looking to close the book on the 2015 recruiting cycle and the drama that it brings each year, it looks like they will have to wait another day (or more).
