College football analyst Mike Griffith of Dawg Nation recently voiced his opinion of the College Football Playoff committee in an appearance on WJOX 94.5 FM and he did not hold back on his thoughts on how things had shaken out.

“My top four doesn’t matter any more than the College Football Playoff committee’s does,” he said. “A lesson was learned last week. Why do we care what these people think? They told us Tennessee was number one and Ohio State was number two. And the Tennessee got dominated by Georgia and Ohio State struggled to put up 3 touchdowns on Northwestern… why are we listening to these people?”

Griffith felt strongly about the way Georgia was able to shut down Tennessee and the way that what went down in the Bulldogs’ 27-13 victory over Tennessee did not at all align with the rankings.

“The College Football Playoff committee told us Tennessee was one and Georgia was three,” he said. “There wasn’t one second of that football game that reflected what they thought. They went with what they had to do.”

It would be surprising to see Georgia do anything other than win out with Mississippi State, Kentucky and Georgia Tech remaining on the schedule for the regular season.
