Heisman Trophy voters Matt Zenitz and Mike Huguenin released their weekly updates Tuesday on who they think the leaders are for this year’s Heisman, and both of them agree on 1 thing: Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud is the leader in the clubhouse after Week 6.

Stroud tossed an eye-popping 6 touchdown passes last Saturday to lead No. 2 Ohio State to a blowout victory at Michigan State. He also threw for 361 yards, and Stroud has 22 TD passes in the Buckeyes’ past 5 games.

He has completed 70.6% of his passes this season, thrown for 1,737 yards and amassed 24 TDs to just 3 interceptions.

Both Zenitz and Huguenin gave some love to Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker on their Heisman hot boards. Huguenin listed Hooker second on his Heisman list, while Zenitz had the burgeoning Vols star fourth.

Hooker has completed 70% of his passes and thrown for 1,432 yards, with 10 touchdown passes and 0 interceptions. He also has 231 yards rushing and 3 rushing TDs to help lead the Vols to the No. 6 ranking in the AP poll and a 5-0 record going into Saturday’s showdown against No. 3 Alabama.

Speaking of the Crimson Tide, Zenitz has Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. seventh on his Heisman list.

Anderson has 29 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 9 quarterback hurries, 1 interception and 1 blocked kick in 6 games this season.
