It has been two seasons since major college football switched over to the playoff format to determine its champion and despite concerns that one conference could dominate half the bracket, that has yet to occur.

According to FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman, that could all change this year.

Feldman called into the Paul Finebaum Show Wednesday and declared LSU to be his pick to win the SEC, as of Wednesday, but don’t take that to mean he has written Alabama off either. Feldman envisions a scenario where both LSU and Alabama make the four-team playoff field in 2016:

As bold as that prediction may be, Feldman made another one during his segment, saying both Clemson and Florida State could make up the other two teams in the bracket.

Just imagine the resentment the South would receive if all four teams in the 2016 College Football Playoff came from the same region of the country. According to Feldman, it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
