A hot dog costume-wearing fan at the Oklahoma State-Iowa State game on Saturday made a cameo appearance on national television.

The fan was cheering on the Cyclones maintaining a 34-20 lead in the 4th quarter. While taking in the game, he was suddenly approached by a police officer.

The FS1 crew, who was televising the contest between the Cyclones and Cowboys, caught the fan with an immediate look of concern.

The fan, revealed to be Braden Beenken, posted on social media that the cop was just curious about his costume.

“For the record, he was asking me about my outfit,” Beenken said. “Not my proudest moment to get caught on TV, but that’s how the game goes I guess.”

Iowa State beat Oklahoma State, 34-27, to improve to 2-2 on the season. Freshman quarterback Rocco Becht led the Cyclones by completing 27-of-38 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Jaylin Noel caught eight of those passes for 146 yards and a TD.

For the Cowboys, QB Alan Bowman threw for 278 yards and two TDs, but also had two interceptions. Tailback Ollie Gordon II rushed for 121 yards on 18 carries.

Iowa State hosts nationally-ranked Oklahoma at 7 p.m. next Saturday on FS1. Next up for Oklahoma State is Kansas State at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6 on ESPN.
