Chad Morris says QB Ty Storey provided ‘spark’ in Arkansas win

Arkansas coach Chad Morris won his first game as Razorbacks coach over Eastern Illinois, 55-20.
Plenty of questions going forward will no doubt be how Morris plans to handle his quarterbacks after Ty Storey came off the bench to spark the offense, punctuated by a 28-point second quarter. Starter Cole Kelley struggled to get the offense going until after Storey came in the game.
Other concerns focused on the running game, which registered just 80 yards on 37 carries.
Key defender LB Dre Greenlaw, who was injured in the first half, did not return, and his status going forward was unknown, according to Morris.
Here are his post-game comments:
Chad Morris, after the game: "We’ve got a long way to go, but we had to start somewhere."

Morris: We had scripted Ty Storey to go in for the fourth series. That was the plan all week.

Morris on the run game: We’ve got to run harder, we’ve got to block better, we’ve got to hold our blocks longer.

Morris: I thought Bumper Pool played really well for a true freshman to get put on that stage tonight. He’s really come on the past few weeks.

Morris: Cole went 6-8 but the name of the game is putting the ball in the end zone. It was scripted for Ty to come in for the fourth series. Ty provided the spark.
