With the Iron Bowl just a few days away, Paul Finebaum had Charles Barkley on his show Wednesday to discuss what winning the Iron Bowl would mean to year’s Auburn team.

The Tigers have lost 3 in a row, including a controversial loss against South Carolina this past Saturday.

Barkley said if the Tigers upset Alabama, it would mean everything to this team and its fans:

“I’m looking forward to the game,” Barkley said. “If we can ruin Alabama’s season, we might as well be 12-0 because if we can ruin their season, it would be awesome — plain and simple.”

The Tigers have had more success on The Plains over the years, winning back in 2019 in a shootout over the Crimson Tide, 48-45.

In 2020, the Crimson Tide repaid the Tigers with a huge 42-13 victory.

It will be interesting to see which Tide and Tigers teams show up for this one Saturday.
