Chris Doering gave some perspective on the matchup between Florida and Arkansas at The Swamp this weekend.

The ex-Gators star receiver said Saturday’s contest is “an incredibly dangerous spot for Florida to be in.”

The Razorbacks (2-6) have lost 6 in a row, but at the same time, “has nothing to lose,” Doering said. Arkansas also fired its offensive coordinator Dan Enos, however, and is also coming out of a bye week.

“You don’t have any idea schematically what (Arkansas is) going to do,” Doering said.

Florida (5-3), on the other hand, recently came out of an “emotionally and physically draining” 43-20 loss to top-ranked Georgia, Doering said.

Doering added that if the Gators aren’t careful, the team could finish with a record of 6-6 or 5-7. Florida still has to face nationally-ranked teams like LSU, Missouri and Florida State this season.

“Quite frankly, this is a great spot for Arkansas,” Doering said, hinting at the vulnerability that the Gators potentially have right now.

Doering noted he is hoping the Razorbacks move their senior quarterback KJ Jefferson more, in the air and on the ground. Jefferson has thrown for 1,547 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The senior also has 200 total rushing yards and a score.

Arkansas and Florida will square off at noon Saturday on ESPN2.
