ESPN’s College GameDay officially handed over the hosting reins to Rece Davis Saturday, and the premier pre-game show had a tribute for former host Chris Fowler.
Fowler has moved on from hosting GameDay to broadcasting games with Kirk Herbstreit, and fans can hear the duo tonight in the Alabama vs. Wisconsin game.
Following the video tribute, Fowler was noticeably emotional, and he thanked each of the GameDay analysts for the impact they’ve had on him over the years.
“I hope everyone’s lucky enough to have a tribute piece from Tom Rinaldi,” Fowler said. “Rece, I’m thrilled for you personally. You’re going to enjoy being the ringmaster of this circus for many many years.”
