Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo went nuts after his College Football Playoff prediction almost hit.
Russo was asked to give a prediction while at the U.S. Open on Sept. 1.
He got extremely close, to be fair. Russo was off by 1 team as he had Alabama, Michigan, Georgia, and Washington with Texas as the only team he had wrong.
“They asked me to give a College Football Playoff prediction on September 1st. What did the little Mad Dog come up with? Let us show you. Put it on the board! On September 1st, I picked Alabama, Michigan, I didn’t know about Harbaugh cheating, Georgia, and Washington.”
He then said that if Florida State had lost to Clemson, he would have gotten it completely right instead of Texas being in. Florida State ended up being left out of the Playoff in the final year of the 4-team format.
“And I’ll tell you something right now. If Clemson didn’t miss a field goal, I would’ve had Georgia there instead of Texas. Think about it. Me, at the U.S. Open, Stephen A. was half asleep and Molly was lost, and I carried.”
The Playoff starts on New Year’s Day with Alabama against Michigan in the Rose Bowl and Texas against Washington in the Sugar Bowl.
