Welcome back to another week of my CBB betting journal, or as my mom and fiancée call it, “My Degenerate’s Diary.” Degenerate seems a little harsh, but that’s neither here nor there. February came to a close last week, and while the stock market might have been down, my BetOnline account was way up after gambling on last week’s SEC action. I hope you made some money as well, but if you didn’t we have some good news …

  1. When you sign up with BetOnline you automatically receive a 50% bonus of your initial deposit.
  2. In addition to the weekly journal with BetOnline we also started a weekly Saturday morning Live video at 11:30 AM ET on the SDS Facebook page!

Each week, we will go over the weekend slate of games and give you the best picks of the day. The journal will continue to be more of a look at trends, stats, etc for the midweek games, but the live video will try to put money in your pocket with the best bets of the day. Last week got off to a great start as I went 6-2.

Last night we saw big upsets in Lexington and T-Town. There are 4 more SEC games tonight, so we’ll try to keep you ahead of the curve with my 5 favorite betting stats and trends to know for tonight’s games:

  1. LSU at Arkansas (-3): The over has hit in 7 of 8 conference road games for LSU. The over has also cashed in 14 of 16 conference games overall this season for Arkansas, including 9 of its past 10. The O/U for tonight is 153.5
  2. Mizzou at Ole Miss (-4.5): The over has hit in 9 of the past 10 meetings in this series, as well as in 10 of the past 11 Ole Miss home games overall. The O/U tonight is 132.
  3. Mizzou at Ole Miss (-4.5): Mizzou is 1-7 overall and 2-6 ATS in SEC road games this season. Their average 1st-half scoring margin is -5.1 which is the 3rd-worst in the SEC. Ole Miss, on the other hand, is 6-2 ATS at home vs. SEC and has a 1st-half scoring margin of +6.1. The 1st-half spread is Ole Miss -2, and the Moneyline is -167.
  4. Texas A&M at Auburn (-12.5): Texas A&M is ranked 348th in the country in 1st-half scoring offense at 25.9 ppg. Their 1st-half team total for tonight’s game vs. Auburn is 27.5 points. In their past 6 road games vs. SEC opponents, the Aggies have scored 28 points or more in the 1st half a total of 1 time. And it was 28 points on the dot.
  5. UGA vs. Florida (-2.5): Florida is 3-7 ATS in road games this season, including a 1-4 record in its past 5 conference road gams. The Gators also haven’t covered the spread in 4 of their past 5 games vs. UGA overall. UGA is averaging 81.1 ppg at home this season, which is 2nd-best in the league, and they’ve been especially hot as of late, averaging 89.7 points in their past 3 games.

As always, make sure to get in the college hoops action over at BetOnline!
