Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica made a significant move from ESPN to FOX Sports recently, as the former “College GameDay” personality was seen as a notable loss to college football coverage at ESPN.

On “The Herd,” Colin Cowherd said on Wednesday that Fallica would run the college football show, and also work on the World Cup coverage, the Belmont horse racing event as well as other gambling-related content.

“That’s what I’ve heard,” he said. “I don’t think Tom Rinaldi and Erin Andrews would lie to me about liking it here, I’ll take you for your word.”

Fallica’s background is as a researcher, and more recently as a gambling expert as his against-the-spread picks were featured on GameDay.

Fallica joined ESPN as a production assistant/tape operator for ESPN Radio in 1995. He was with GameDay since 1996.

Fallica also co-hosted the “Stanford Steve and the Bear” podcast focusing on sports with a Las Vegas angle with “Stanford Steve” Coughlin of “SportsCenter” fame. He also contributed as a sports betting analyst to ESPN.com and the program “Daily Wager”and frequently appeared on Greg McElroy’s “Always College Football” podcast to preview games from a gambling perspective.
