Christian Robinson shares classy farewell as assistant departs Auburn staff

Christian Robinson will not be a part of Hugh Freeze’s first staff at Auburn, and the linebackers coach shared a classy message on his way out.
“From the first day at Toomers, to Cadillac’s first win on The Plains,” Robinson wrote on social media, “we loved getting to be a part of this community. … I can’t wait to see the great things you do on and off the field!”
Robinson, who was recruiting for Auburn recently, Robinson became the linebackers coach when Jeff Schmedding moved up from linebackers coach to defensive coordinator when Derek Mason left Harsin’s staff.
Auburn is expected to bring in former Liberty LB coach/co-DC Josh Aldridge to fill the LB coach role for the Tigers.
Robinson played linebacker at Georgia from 2009 to 2012. He joined Auburn’s coaching staff under Bryan Harsin in January of 2022. Robinson spent the previous 4 seasons as linebackers coach at Florida. After his playing career, Robinson was a graduate assistant at Georgia (2013-14), Ole Miss (2015-16) and Mississippi State (2017).
