The Cincinnati Bengals drafted former Texas A&M star RB Trayveon Williams in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

In 2019, Williams was primarily a special teams player, but in 2020, he appeared in 10 games and ran for 157 yards on 26 carries. He added 5 catches for 30 yards, too.

But, heading into the 2021 season, the Bengals decided to go in a different direction in the backfield. Per Charlie Goldsmith, the Bengals cut Williams on Tuesday:

Tuesday was the NFL’s deadline for teams to get down to 53 players on their active rosters. Where Williams ends up next remains to be seen.

Williams as a first-team All-SEC player and a second-team All-American in 2018 while with the Aggies.
