C.J. Mosley shouts out little brother for earning scholarship with Tide

Earlier today, Alabama sophomore linebacker Jamey Mosley — the little brother of former Crimson Tide standout C.J. Mosley — was awarded with a scholarship after spending his first season with the team as a preferred walk-on. He was among a select few players to be awarded the Bear Bryant Outstanding Non-Scholarship Award after an excellent spring performance.

C.J. Mosley, who was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, posted this to his Instagram after hearing of the news:

From my senior day to the young bull @jameflame earning his scholarship last night to the University of Alabama! To all the young men, no matter what your last name is or what reputation you have coming out of high school. Nothing is given to you, you have to earn every stripe that goes to your last name! The @alabamafbl organization and Coach Saban gave my brother a chance to walk on and earn his way and not give it to him just because of what I did. Mosley (6-foot-5, 230 pounds) didn’t receive any playing time as a freshman, but don’t be surprised to see him make a few appearances for the Crimson Tide in 2016.
