Earlier today, Alabama sophomore linebacker Jamey Mosley — the little brother of former Crimson Tide standout C.J. Mosley — was awarded with a scholarship after spending his first season with the team as a preferred walk-on. He was among a select few players to be awarded the Bear Bryant Outstanding Non-Scholarship Award after an excellent spring performance.

C.J. Mosley, who was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, posted this to his Instagram after hearing of the news:

Mosley (6-foot-5, 230 pounds) didn’t receive any playing time as a freshman, but don’t be surprised to see him make a few appearances for the Crimson Tide in 2016.
