Clemson added yet another 4-star prospect to its 2026 recruiting class on Tuesday morning.

The Tigers earned a commitment from Ohio native Kaden Gebhardt, who is a blue-chip safety prospect. Gebhardt chose Clemson over programs such as Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, Auburn and many more.

Clemson has been on an absolute tear on the recruiting trail lately. Gebhardt is the 12th player overall to join Clemson’s 2026 class, but the 7th since the beginning of March. Clemson’s class is now all the way up to No. 2 in the national rankings, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Gebhardt is a big get for the Tigers. He’s the No. 405 overall player and the No. 31 safety in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 19 player from the state of Ohio.

Gebhardt initially received an offer from Clemson back in January of this year. His recruitment moved relatively quickly with the Tigers even as he picked up multiple power-conference offers this spring.

Gebhardt is listed at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds. He attends Olentangy High School in Lewis Center, Ohio.
