Clemson made a big-time addition in the class of 2026 on Friday afternoon.
The Tigers earned a commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Adam Guthrie. The Ohio native chose Clemson over programs such as Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Oklahoma and plenty more.
Here’s his announcement:
Guthrie is a huge addition for Clemson in this upcoming cycle. He’s the No. 243 overall player and the No. 20 offensive tackle in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 10 player from the state of Ohio.
Guthrie initially received an offer from Clemson back in September of 2024. He attends Miami Trace High School in Washington Court House, Ohio. He’s listed at 6-foot-7, 285 pounds.
It’s still relatively early in the 2026 recruiting cycle, but Guthrie is now the highest-ranked commit in Clemson’s class. The Tigers have 7 commitments overall in this cycle. The group ranks No. 19 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. However, there’s still plenty of time for Clemson to add to this class and improve that ranking before the Early Signing Period in December.
