The Week 12 Coaches Poll was unveiled Sunday morning, and with two top 10 teams losing and one just barely surviving, there was plenty of movement.
Following its win over Georgia, Ole Miss rose to the No. 11 spot in the rankings, still a place behind the Bulldogs. Alabama vaulted to the No. 8 spot after it cruised to a win over LSU in Death Valley, while both Texas and Tennessee moved up two spots thanks to UGA and Miami’s losses.

Elsewhere in the SEC, Texas A&M moved up a spot while being idle. LSU fell nine spots to No. 22, the most out of any team in this week’s poll.
Missouri leapfrogged a spot after its miraculous win over Oklahoma, and South Carolina entered the rankings for the first time this season at the No. 23 spot.
All in all, nine SEC teams made the cut, still the most out of any conference by a wide margin. And if you are going off of these rankings, six teams from the SEC would be in playoff contention, with Mizzou on the outside looking in.
