Coaches Poll Week 14: SEC lands 7 in latest release following wild Saturday

Week 14 of the 2024 college football season will be one of the most pivotal of its kind in the the history of Week 14s given just how insane and unpredictable this year has been in the sport, which was perfectly encapsulated by Saturday’s action. It has affected everyone’s rankings, including those of the USA TODAY Coaches Poll.

Two of the biggest storylines were Florida overtaking Ole Miss, 24-17, in an unlikely upset as Billy Napier and the Gators have completely turned things around. It may be too little, too late for them, but certainly throws a wrench in Ole Miss’ College Football Playoff hopes.

The Iron Bowl also is shaping up to be much more interesting than anyone thought it would be after Alabama got blown out of Norman, 24-3, and on the heels of Auburn overcoming Texas A&M in a triple-overtime thriller, 43-41 in Jordan-Hares Stadium
