The Week 9 edition of the Coaches Poll has officially been released and there has been some obvious shakeup following another interesting week in the 2024 college football season.

Among the most notable of the games continuing to these shifts is the obvious: the Georgia Bulldogs taking down the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns in Saturday night’s 30-15 victory. With that, Texas fell from its top spot in the poll to No. 6 overall.

Georgia was a significant riser, jumping up 2 spots to No. 2, right behind the Oregon Ducks, who now holds the first overall spot after previously being ranked at No. 2 after the big win over the Ohio State Buckeyes last week.

Other SEC teams of note in the poll included LSU at No. 7 (rose 1 spot), Tennessee at No. 8 (rose 2 spots), Texas A&M at No. 14 (no rise), Alabama at No. 15 (fell 8 spots), Missouri at No. 17 (fell 1 spot), Ole Miss at No. 18 (fell 3 spots) and Vanderbilt at No. 25 (rose 5 spots after previously receiving several votes.
