Colin Cowherd asks Urban Meyer why Ohio State graduate Joe Burrow didn’t go to Ohio State

Joe Burrow has become the talk of college football in the early part of the season as he has become the guy to finally take LSU’s offense into the 21st century.
Through three games, he has completed 83.3% of his passes for 1,122 yards and 11 touchdowns to just two interceptions while leading the Tigers to a big win in Week 2 at Texas.
From Athens, Ohio, one would wonder why he’s not in a Buckeyes uniform, at least that is what sports personality Colin Cowherd wanted to know while interviewing former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer on Wednesday. Cowherd, clueless to the fact that Burrow spent three years in Columbus, asked Meyer how he got out of the Buckeye State.
“Well, he signed, played for us for three years,” Meyer told Cowherd. “He did a grad transfer. Dwayne Haskins and Joe had to battle, oh what was it, two years ago in spring and it was inches from who was our starting quarterback and Dwayne the battle.
Meyer also spoke highly of Burrow, who has overnight become a Heisman Trophy candidate.
“Great family, incredible kid, tough as nails,” Meyer said. “He’s developed into a pro prospect. I’ve talked to him quite often and I couldn’t be more proud of what Joe has done.”
