College GameDay will enjoy a first next weekend.

For the first time in the history of ESPN’s traveling pregame show, the crew will broadcast live from Cal’s campus in Berkeley, California. The Golden Bears (3-1) will host Miami (5-0) in what will be the school’s first-ever ACC conference home game.

Per the NCAA, Cal has not been featured on GameDay since Oct. 10, 2015. The 23rd-ranked Golden Bears lost a road game to No. 5 Utah that weekend. This will be Cal’s fourth appearance on the show all-time.

The Bears are on a bye in Week 5. When they host Miami, they’ll be looking to avoid the start of a losing streak. After a 3-0 start, the Bears suffered their first loss of the season last weekend against Florida State in Tallahassee, 14-9.

Quarterback Fernando Mendoza leads the offense alongside tailbacks Jaydn Ott and Jaivian Thomas. Defensive back Nohl Williams entered Week 5 leading the country in interceptions, with 4.

Miami is undoubtedly the draw here.

The Hurricanes will likely be firmly in the top 10 of the AP poll. They survived a scare from Virginia Tech on Friday night in dramatic fashion, erasing a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to win 38-34. Miami benefited from a highly controversial replay review that overturned a Hail Mary touchdown catch for Virginia Tech that would have won the game.

Miami is led by Heisman frontrunner Cam Ward, who leads all FBS passers with 18 touchdowns on the season.

Kickoff between the Bears and Hurricanes is set for 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
