College GameDay is off to a historic start in 2024.

ESPN’s flagship pregame show had another banner week in Norman in Week 5. According to the network, GameDay now officially has its best 4-episode start to a season in the history of the program.

ESPN says its 4 on-campus GameDay shows to start the year have averaged 2.2 million viewers overall and 2.9 million viewers in the final hour:

Back in Week 1, College GameDay made history with an average of 2.5 million viewers — the third-most watched pre-November episode in the show’s history, per ESPN.

Ratings have continued to climb with Pat McAfee in his second year on the show, but Nick Saban’s addition to the GameDay crew has undoubtedly had a big impact as well. Saban has quickly become a popular analyst in his first season away from the sidelines.

College GameDay will be headed back to Tuscaloosa this weekend for a top-5 matchup between Alabama and Georgia. It’s a rematch of last year’s SEC Championship Game, which Alabama won.

Kickoff of Georgia-Alabama is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
