The Savanna native played from 2019-2022 and racked up 110 total tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks over his four-year career despite a torn pectoral injury causing him to miss the back half of his senior season. He was a key part of Georgia’s vaunted defenses in 2021 and 2022, and he has two championship rings to show for it.
Smith went on to be drafted with the 30th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. Through five games, the former Dawg has recorded 7 tackles and a sack with the team despite battling through a shoulder injury at the beginning of the ’23 campaign.
The Rebels are looking to keep their SEC title and College Football Playoff hopes alive by pulling off a monumental upset, while the Bulldogs are aiming to maintain the nation’s longest winning streak.
Ole Miss and Georgia will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN from Sanford Stadium.
