The College GameDay crew is headed to Louisville, Kentucky.
ESPN’s popular weekly traveling college football show announced Sunday that it would be in town later this week, as Louisville hosts Clemson, the defending national champion.
The Cardinals are 2-0, topping Purdue in Indianapolis last week before dispatching North Carolina on the road Saturday behind another superlative outing from quarterback Lamar Jackson, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.
Jackson accounted for 525 yards (393 passing, 132) in Saturday’s victory. It marked the second time in as many games that Jackson had topped the 300-yard-passing, 100-yard-rushing plateau. He became only the second player in FBS history to accomplish that feat, joining Chase Clement, who did it in back-to-back games for Rice in 2007.
Clemson, meanwhile, has shown no signs of drop off from last season. The Tigers are 2-0, swiftly dispatching Kent State in last week’s opener and using a dominant defensive performance to beat Auburn 14-6 at home Saturday.
The Clemson/Louisville game is set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
