Contract details revealed for No. 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards out of Georgia

Georgia G Anthony Edwards was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft on Wednesday night.
He joins a team with a pair of stars in Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell. Now, he’ll try to be the third star in that triumvirate.
After he was chosen, former NBA GM Bobby Marks revealed Edwards’ contract details. Per Marks, Edwards’ contract is a 4-year deal worth $44.2 million, with $20 million guaranteed:

As Marks says, that is indeed life-changing money. Now, we’ll see if Edwards can live up to that hefty contract.
Based on the scoring ability and athleticism he showed during his one year at Georgia, that is definitely possible.
