Bowden tested positive for the virus earlier in October and was taken to the hospital on Oct. 6 as a precautionary measure, according to WCTV.
The 90-year-old coaching legend tested positive after he went to the hospital to rehab a leg infection, but WCTV reports that he never showed severe symptoms.
Bowden, whose birthday is Nov. 8, last coached the Seminoles in the 2009 season, leading them to a 7-6 record. He officially has the 4th most wins in NCAA history with 377 victories.
Bowden also won 2 national championships and 12 ACC titles.
