Former Florida State football head coach Bobby Bowden is doing well and headed home.

Jim Henry of The Tallahassee Democrat reported that Bowden tested negative for COVID-19 and is set to be released from Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare on Wednesday.

Bowden tested positive for the virus earlier in October and was taken to the hospital on Oct. 6 as a precautionary measure, according to WCTV.

The 90-year-old coaching legend tested positive after he went to the hospital to rehab a leg infection, but WCTV reports that he never showed severe symptoms.

Bowden, whose birthday is Nov. 8, last coached the Seminoles in the 2009 season, leading them to a 7-6 record. He officially has the 4th most wins in NCAA history with 377 victories.

Bowden also won 2 national championships and 12 ACC titles.
