The son of former UK great Craig Yeast has committed to the Wildcats.

Craig Yeast II, who goes by “Russ”, committed to the Wildcats Tuesday.

The 5-11, 175-pound wide receiver is rated a three-star prospect in the class of 2017, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, and Yeast II is just another prospect Mark Stoops has landed from the state of Ohio. Yeast II is rated as the state’s 18th best player for ’17.

His father played four seasons for the University of Kentucky, from 1995-98, before he was drafted in the fourth round to the Cincinnati Bengals. As a receiver, Yeast caught 208 passes for 2,899 yards during his college career.
