University of Alabama sophomore defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson was one of 29 players named to the watch list for the Ted Hendricks Award for the nation’s best defensive end.
A Crimson Tide player has never won the award, which has been around since 2002.
With Robinson’s latest honor, as he’s also already up for the Bednarik, Bronko Nagurski, Outland and Rotary Lombardi awards, Alabama players are listed 29 times on various watch lists.
Alabama players have won at least one of the major national college football awards every year since 2008, the longest active streak in college football.
With most of the award watch lists having already been announced here’s what the Crimson Tide is up for so far:

Jim Thorpe Award (best defensive back by the Jim Thorpe Association): Landon Collins named to watch list. Semifinalists announced Nov. 28.
Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award (top senior quarterback by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation): Jacob Coker named to watch list. Semifinalists named in mid-October.
Mackey Award (outstanding tight end by Friends of John Mackey): O.J. Howard named to watch list. Semifinalists to be announced Nov. 18.
