It’s one thing to have a team beat you like the way Florida throttled Kentucky last Saturday. It’s another thing when the broadcasters calling the game start taking shots at your team while it’s getting blown out.
Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson seemed to make light of Kentucky’s struggles. We’re guessing they had nothing else to talk about during the Gators’ 45-7 romp.
Verne Lundquist goes to commercial with "If you've got any stories for us, phone them in." Kentucky a total punchline today.

Verne Lundquist is brutal. "Some of us thought this would be a competitive game………….I'm not sure why."

"How would you like to be a Kentucky fan right now? It's got to be depressing."- Gary Danielson on the CBS broadcast

Nevertheless, Danielson still managed to score points with some viewers:

"Four years of hard work and this is what it looks like." — Gary Danielson is on his game today.

What’s in a name?
In Auburn’s opener against Clemson, Kyle Davis made a big play with his 43-yard reception. Against Arkansas State last Saturday night, the freshman wide receiver hauled in a 42-yard pass, but someone apparently forgot to tell Brent Musburger.
We’re not sure how or why this happened, but the longtime announcer kept on calling him Kyle Allen, somehow confusing him for the former Texas A&M quarterback. The Tigers certainly performed better than he did.
I like Brent Musburger. But, man, he called Kyle Davis "Kyle Allen" a BUNCH of times in this telecast…

Musburger has called Kyle Davis, "Kyle Allen" like 50 times tonight

Brent Musburger really wants us to have someone named Kyle Allen on our team

Beth I hear you calling
Nick Saban wasn’t happy with his team’s performance in Alabama’s 38-10 home win over Western Kentucky last Saturday. By the same token, viewers weren’t pleased with the performance of ESPN play-by-play voice Beth Mowins, who called the game and got hammered by SEC fans.
Most tweets were about Mowins’ voice. But unfortunately some critics’ comments were about her gender:

There's only 1 thing worse than Verne Lundquist announcing Alabama games… Beth Mowins announcing Alabama games pic.twitter.com/zNH3uEHE75

To be fair, despite having her fair share of detractors, Mowins does have some supporters as well:
@bethmowins always enjoy your announcing! Even if I have no interest in either teams!

Gotta say, @bethmowins is terrific.
