Dabo Swinney discusses not losing his joy for the game after Clemson’s loss
Dabo Swinney picked up his first loss of the season Saturday as Clemson fell to Notre Dame, but the legendary head coach doesn’t let the loss dwell on him too much.
Rather than letting the loss ruin his week or season, Swinney finds encouragement in his faith.
“I don’t grow weary, I grow stronger,” Swinney said. “The Bible says that… That’s the big thing. I’ve lived that my whole life.”
Following the upset loss, Swinney and his team are now looking to get back on track and prepare for a big week ahead against Louisville.
“I’m excited about having a good Tuesday practice today,” he said. “Ain’t nothing going to steal my joy.”
Dabo Swinney: "I don't grow weary, I grow stronger … the Bible says that … ain't nothing gonna steal my joy. I'm gonna do everything I can to not let the joy get taken out of it for this team. If people can't get on board with that, they're msising a lot of opportunity." pic.twitter.com/jFH9vZ5Sbt
