Mississippi State quarterback legend Dak Prescott has a well-chronicled relationship with his mother Peggy. Not only was she Dak’s biggest fan but his best friend.

After Peggy passed in 2013 due to a long battle with cancer at age 52, Prescott honored her with a tattoo, by wearing wristbands dedicated to her and by often pointing toward the Heavens after scoring touchdowns as a Bulldog. Now MSU’s greatest quarterback has found a new way to honor his late mother, this time in a Dallas Cowboys uniform:

So close to Mother’s Day, if that doesn’t make you tear up nothing will.

Prescott was chosen by Dallas in the Round 4 of the 2016 NFL Draft with the No. 135 overall selection. While Tony Romo is expected to continue his playing career as long as possible, Prescott finds himself in the perfect position to learn and adjust to the NFL game before being rushed onto the field at the game’s highest level.
